SOLD OUT- Embrace Your Cycle

This is a 8-week virtual workshop/women’s circle for menstrual cycle awareness and wellness. Whether you want to soothe painful periods, regulate the length of your cycle, or just come to a deeper relationship with your body's cyclical nature, this workshop is for you.

We will go deep into cycle tracking, breaking down the different phases and the various hormone fluctuations in each phase. We will discuss the most critical factors that impact your hormonal health and what you can do to protect yourself. We will examine the most appropriate foods and preparation for each phase. We will discuss what types and intensity levels of movement & exercise will support your body and how to optimize your workout depending on the phase. We will learn about the inner seasons, the natural superpowers & the unique skills of each season, how to intentionally schedule your life around your cycle & much more!

Wednesday 7-8 pm PST Cost $160 for 8 sessions. Space is limited. All sessions will be recorded and available if you can not attend live. A workbook with lessons, resources, and references will be provided.

In this workshop, we will explore the menstrual cycle from many vantage points and give you real tools that you can use to feel more connected to your body and improve the quality of your life and of your cycle.

In the realm of the body, we will discuss the most helpful foods, cooking methods, and movement types and intensity for each phase. We will talk about the most critical factors that impact your hormonal health and what you can do the optimize them.

In the realm of the mind, we will go over how to intentionally schedule your life in the most harmonious way according to each phase. We will discuss superpowers and special skills for each phase so that you can do the things that come most easily to you.

In the spirit realm, we will explore what is important to you? We will talk about rituals and themes to support personal-growth and cyclical living.

Pranayama: The Breath

Western science is finally now coming to understand something yogis have understood for centuries; the power of our breath. Learning to breathe more effectively can influence mental and physical well-being. Various breathing techniques allow us to hack into our own nervous system, control our immune response, and restore our health. Changing how we breathe will even help us live longer. 

Pranayama is the practice of yogic breathing. In this workshop we will explore various types of pranayama; natural breath, ujjayi, nadi shodhana, voluma breath and their benefits. This 2 hours class will include theory &  explanation, a gentle asana practice to prepare the body for breathing and pranayama. Come deepen your yoga practice and learn how you can utilize your breath to encourage focus, relieve stress and improve your life. 

Come in comfortable clothes that you can practice in, bring a notebook if you would like to take notes, water, and a mat.

Moon Rituals: Full Moon Circle, Yoga Flow and Meditation

Free People Movement Event ~ I am so excited to be partnering with Free People in Walnut Creek to put on a special FREE class designed to harness the energy of the full moon for transformation. During the full moon lunar energy is most abundant and luminous, we can utilize this energy for our own inner work. 

We will begin the class in a circle to connect, chant, and do a short self-reflective meditation. After we will move through a all-level gentle flow yoga class, focused on twists and hip-openers. The evening will conclude in circle with a full moon meditation and a ceremony to release unhelpful or toxic thoughts, habits, or ways of being, so that we might move into the new moon phase feeling cleansed and full of gratitude. 

Please bring a journal and pen, something for the altar, yoga mats + blankets to be provided

This class will be centered around twists, to detox and purify, and back bends, to open and activate the heart. We will reflect back on 2018, appreciate the lessons, love, laughs, and also acknowledge the hardship and identify obstacles that held us back. This class will be about gratitude for all that we learned in the past year and letting go of those things, habits, thoughts, and emotions that are no longer serving us, so that we might make room for what’s new in 2019. Join me as we dive into surya namaskara, sanskrit for sun salutations. This workshop will discuss the history of sun salutes, the benefits of flow, and how to flow safely with greater ease and proper alignment. This workshop is perfect for students who take vinyasa flow classes already and would like to gain a deeper understanding, as well as, people who are newer to the practice and want to start off on the right foot. We will explore the fundamentals of flow, break down the alignment of the individual postures in the sun salutation like downdog, updog, chatturanga etc... and then putting them all together for an focused and inspiring flow session full of breath, movement, and a short mediation.

Join us for a one-hour all levels yoga class for the whole family. This fun and engaging class will explore individual, and partner yoga poses, cooperative games, breathing and relaxation exercises. Development of self-expression and body-awareness will also be taught in a non-competitive, fun environment. Students will develop their own strength, flexibility, and focus, while together bonding as a family. Students of all ages and yoga experience welcome, all children must be accompanied by a guardian.

Join us for #marchoffthemat, a 9 day yoga challenge sponsored by @chattrayoga and @thatnow starting this coming Monday! 

Everyday we will explore different ways to take lessons we learn on our mat into our lives off the mat. This is slightly different than other IG challenges of demonstrating yoga postures.
